Hi, I’m Amanda Cross and I’ve been a foster parent since March of 2012.

I’ve always loved animals and wanted to do something more to help them but was scared to try fostering. I thought I’d get too attached and never be able to give them up. And though I do get attached to every dog we bring into our home and it is sometimes difficult to see them walking away with someone else I am thrilled to know that because I chose to be a foster parent they were given the chance to find their forever family instead of being put to sleep at some shelter.

My husband and I have 2 miniature dachshunds of our own who love having new playmates around. This has truly been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done.
