Ben and I have been married since 2009 and have a shared passion for helping animals.
I adopted my first “pound puppy” after graduating college, an Australian cattle-dog mix named Ozzie. Ben and I thought Oz would like to have a playmate (though if he could talk, I think he would have said otherwise, ha!) so we adopted our crazy coonhound/collie mix named Toby.
We have been fostering since February of 2012 and have loved the opportunity of helping each and every one of our fosters find their forever homes. We knew the risk of becoming “foster failures” and both swore going into it that we wouldn’t keep any of them permanently… until we met Miracle (aka “Mira”).
Once you meet our sweet girl, you’ll know why we couldn’t let her go. Her story stands for everything that animal rescue is about and deserves a lifetime of being told. She loves meeting new people and her new job in life is to educate people on responsible pet ownership.
